Non-raptor wildlife ambassadors
Birds have special adaptations which allow for flight: feathers, light weight hollow bones, laying eggs, lack teeth and of course wings. Many birds in our collection have physical injuries that prevent them from being able to survive in the wild. Others were found as youngsters and improperly raised by humans. A wild animal raised around people may lose its natural fear of humans as well as the skills needed to survive in the wild.
