Intern opportunities  
Wildlife rehabilitation internship (ages 18+)
This unpaid internship offers an unparalleled opportunity for hands-on experience with care and treatment of injured or orphaned native birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians and to help the public with wildlife questions. The job is intense, fast-paced and repetitive. This position requires 28 hours per week from April to September.

Animal keeper internship (ages 18+)
This unpaid internship offers a unique opportunity to learn about husbandry for native animals in the museum's permanent collection of non-releasable birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians. This position requires 15 - 30 hours a week, including weekends.

Interpretive programs keeper internship (ages 18+)
This position requires a self-motivated, flexible, and responsible individual capable of assisting with the daily operations of the Animal Encounters group with emphasis in Interpretive programs. This includes facility maintenance, animal care, public presentations, and guiding teen and adult volunteer activities.
